Ingredients:
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 cup brown rice
- 2 green bell peppers
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 onion
- 2 cups pasta sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Drain.
- Rinse the bell peppers. Cut off the tops of bell peppers and clean out the seeds.
- Dice the bell peppers and onions.
- Add the bell peppers, onions, garlic, rice, pasta sauce, water, salt and pepper to the cooked ground beef. Mix well.
- Transfer to a 9×13 glass baking dish, cover with foil and cook for about 45 minutes or until the rice is done.
- Top with a layer of pasta sauce and cheese and cook for 5 additional minutes (optional)
