Texas Twinkies – Brisket Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers
Texas Twinkies are large jalapenos filled with seasoned cream cheese and smoked brisket, wrapped in thick cut bacon. Giving a tasty twist on regular jalapeno poppers! This is one recipe you won’t want to skip!

Texas Twinkies – Brisket Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers
INGREDIENTS:
- 6 large Jalapenos
- Leftover Smoked Brisket, Chopped
- 1 Pound Thick Cut Bacon
- 8 Ounces Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Barbecue Sauce or Brown Sugar (OPTIONAL)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Wash the jalapeno peppers and pat them dry.
- Cut the jalapenos lengthwise as shown in the photo below. Carefully remove the seeds and membranes. (Remember to wash your hands after touching jalapeno seeds!)
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and the pepper.
- Stuff each of the peppers about halfway full with the cream cheese mixture.
- Fill the rest of the jalapeno pepper with the chopped brisket. Pack it in good.
- Wrap each jalapeno with two pieces of thick cut bacon.
- OPTIONAL: Spread the Barbecue Sauce over the bacon OR sprinkle brown sugar over the bacon.
- Place the jalapenos on a baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
- Cook the peppers for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is done.

AIR FRYER DIRECTIONS:
- Follow steps 2-8.
- Place the jalapenos on an air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 375 degrees and cook for about 15 minutes or until the bacon is done.
