How To Make Peppermint Bark

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate on the prepared pan. Spread evenly.
  4. Refrigerate for an hour or until chocolate is hard.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate. Stir.
  7. Pour the melted white chocolate over the hardened semi-sweet chocolate. Spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the top and gently press down with a spatula.
  9. Refrigerate until the chocolate is completely hardened.
  10. Remove from the pan and break into pieces.

  • Crush the candy canes with a food processor or blender. If you do not have a food processor or blender, place the candy canes in a freezer bag and crush with a rolling pin. 
  • Be sure to wait until the chocolate is set and the peppermint bark is completely hard before breaking it into pieces. 
  • Break the bark apart with your hands or if needed, a hammer. 
  • If you prefer thicker bark, use a smaller baking sheet. 
  • Store the bark in an airtight container or freezer bag in a cool dry place.
  • The peppermint bark will be good for 2-3 weeks if stored correctly.
